Membership Agreement & Entire Agreement

By clicking “I Accept”, submitting an application, or accessing the Tax Insights™ platform, you (“Member,” “You,” or “Your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”).
This Agreement constitutes a legally binding contract between You and Tax Insights™ (“Tax Insights,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”).
1. Purpose of the Platform
Tax Insights™ is a Canada-focused professional platform designed to support licensed and qualified tax and financial professionals through visibility, education, collaboration, and professional engagement.
Tax Insights™:
- Is not a regulatory body
- Does not license, certify, or accredit professionals
- Does not replace any professional licensing or regulatory authority
All Members are responsible for maintaining good standing with their respective licensing, regulatory, or governing bodies.
2. Eligibility & Membership Requirements
To join Tax Insights™, You confirm that:
- You are based in Canada or primarily practice in Canada
- You are a licensed, regulated, or qualified professional, or a firm operating in the tax or financial services ecosystem
- All information You provide is accurate, complete, and truthful
- You maintain required professional licenses, registrations, and insurance (where applicable)
Tax Insights™ reserves the right to:
- Approve or decline any application
- Request verification of credentials
- Suspend or terminate membership at its discretion
3. Membership Levels & Services
Membership levels may include:
- Standard Listing
- Featured Expert
- Lunch & Learn Host / Speaker
- Partner or Partner-Nominated Listings
Benefits vary by membership tier and may change from time to time.
Tax Insights™ does not guarantee:
- Referrals
- Revenue
- Speaking engagements
- Business results
4. Fees, Payments & Renewals
- All membership and partnership fees are payable in advance
- Fees are non-refundable, including in cases of non-participation
- Memberships are typically annual, unless otherwise stated
- Tax Insights™ may revise fees with prior notice
Failure to pay may result in suspension or removal of services.
5. Use of Platform & Conduct
Members agree to:
- Act professionally, ethically, and respectfully
- Not misrepresent credentials, services, or authority
- Not solicit inappropriately or engage in unethical conduct
- Not use the platform for misleading, deceptive, or unlawful purposes
Tax Insights™ reserves the right to remove content, suspend access, or terminate membership for conduct that undermines the platform’s integrity.
6. Lunch & Learn & Speaking Participation
Participation as a speaker or host:
- Is subject to approval
- Does not imply endorsement by Tax Insights™
- Must remain educational and non-misleading
- Must comply with all applicable professional standards
Tax Insights™ may record sessions for educational or promotional use.
7. Intellectual Property & Content Rights
All platform content, branding, logos, and materials are the exclusive property of Tax Insights™.
By submitting content (bios, logos, session materials), You grant Tax Insights™ a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, publish, and promote such content for platform purposes.
8. No Professional Advice Disclaimer
Tax Insights™ does not provide:
- Tax advice
- Legal advice
- Financial advice
All information shared through the platform is for educational and informational purposes only. Members and attendees must seek independent professional advice as required.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Tax Insights™ shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Tax Insights™ does not guarantee outcomes, referrals, or business success
- Members use the platform at their own risk
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tax Insights™, its officers, directors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:
- Your conduct
- Your services
- Your breach of this Agreement
- Your professional activities
11. Termination
Tax Insights™ may suspend or terminate membership:
- For breach of this Agreement
- For unethical or unprofessional conduct
- At its discretion, with or without notice
Termination does not entitle the Member to any refund.
12. Privacy & Data Use
Member information is collected and used in accordance with the Tax Insights™ Privacy Policy.
By joining, You consent to:
- Display of your professional profile
- Communications related to platform activities
- Event invitations and updates
13. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
14. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between You and Tax Insights™ and supersedes all prior discussions, representations, or agreements, whether written or oral.
No waiver or modification is valid unless in writing and authorized by Tax Insights™.
15. Acceptance
By clicking “I Accept”, You acknowledge that:
You accept all obligations herein
You have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
You agree to be legally bound by this Agreement
